5/24/2016, News Talk 1150 WHBY Fox Cities – A group that wants lawmakers to put together a solution to the state’s road funding issue brought people together in De Pere this morning.

The Transportation Development Association held a meeting for community leaders.

Executive director Craig Thompson says local government leaders are concerned about maintaining their roads. He says state funding is declining, and that’s putting pressure on property taxes.

Thompson says Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach also talked about the importance of a southern bridge crossing in the De Pere area. He says it would be a big economic development tool.
